Plasma carburation

Surface hardening of steels by increasing the carbon content through the plasma dissemination of hydrocarbon gas. In comparison to the traditional technique, there is no significant surface oxidation and the technique is quicker. The hardness of the surface is slightly lower than with a nitriding technique, but the dissemination layer is deeper.
