Microwave technology

Microwaves (2.45GHz) are used to excite low-pressure plasmas. The advantages are the low-cost and great efficiency in techniques for etching and polymerisation. The disadvantages are complex electrical implementation, the presence of very high voltages, the obligation to use glass containers and the poor homogeneity.
