ATMOSPHERIC PLASMA – PLASMABEAM

 [ PRINCIPLES]

The surface treatment is obtained by the reaction of active particles, contained in the flow of gas, with the material. Furthermore, the contaminations, once dislodged, are evacuated by the flow of air.

The PlasmaBeam can perform pre-treatment before :
  • Bonding
  • Assembly
  • Printing
  • Solder
  • Brazing
  • Coating

on the following materials: plastics, elastomers, metals, glass, ceramics and hybrid materials.

The gas active on output from the nozzle has no high voltage and therefore the PlasmaBeam can be used for treating electronic components:

  • Cleaning contacts before wiring.
  • Cleaning LCD screen contacts before hot sealing.
  • Activation of electronic components before marking.

PlasmaBeam treatment is a continuous treatment. The speed (V) and the distance (D) between the nozzle and the surface are the most important parameters for obtaining the desired effect. The change in these parameters can significantly change the pre-treatment effects.

[APPLICATIONS OF ATMOSPHERIC PLASMA]

The PlasmaBeam system, a generator of atmospheric plasma, is mainly used for local pre-treatment (cleaning and activation) of different types of materials:

  • Polymers
  • Metals
  • Ceramics
  • Glass
  • Hybrid Materials

It is possible to install the PlasmaBeam on existing robots and/or automatic assembly lines.
